The Malaysian Meteorological Department reported yesterday, a minor earthquake hit Sabah, affecting areas around Ranau.
The earthquake reportedly hit at the coordinate 6.0° North and 116.7° East, with the magnitude of 2.8 Richter scale within the distance of 2km Southeast from Ranau, Sabah. This earthquake happened approximately 5km below ground.
Earthquake normally come in clusters, be prepared there might be aftershock.
The department also issued a heavy rain warning in the other areas of Sarawak that is forecasted to last until January 2nd. Drive safe and hopefully no flash flood!
