Dr Noor Hisham: Bring Your Own Pen To Record Details When Going Out

In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Health Ministry, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has advised the public to bring their own pens to write down their details before entering the shops.

“Always bring along your own pen. It will be much better to have your own pen instead of using the one which is provided by shops,” Dr Noor Hisham said during his daily Covid-19 press conference on Thursday (May 28).

“If you have to write, make sure you sanitise your hand and the pen if you are worried about the pen is used by the public. That’s the best way to protect yourself. This is the advice we can give to the public, to adopt this norm, why not bring your own pen? That is much better,” he said.

Dr Noor Hisham said that the government is now looking to launch MySejahtera to be one of the solutions. The public can avoid the cross-contamination by using a QR code that already has their personal details registered instead of sharing pens with other members of the public.

Dr Noor Hisham added that some shop or restaurant staffs have seen to be helping customers to write down their details, he said that it is another good way of preventing cross-contamination for only one person uses the pen.
