Schools in South Korea have reopened on May 20 after a month-long closure due to Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to this, online classes were conducted as part of the precautionary measures against the virus outbreak.
However, the high school students will need to go for South Korea’s national university entrance exam in November. Thus they were the fist to return to school and attend classes in person. While for other students, including preschoolers, will return to school on June 8, 2020.
The South Korean government postponed the reopening of schools five times before May 20, 2020, according to Yonhap News Agency. To ensure all the precautionary measures taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

To prevent the viral outbreak in schools, safe distancing measures is imposed, such as spacing out desks and fitting them with plastic dividers, installing fever checkpoints and implementing social distancing with plastic barriers in cafeterias.
While in Malaysia, teachers are starting work early in planning and preparing their schools to reopen for exam bound classes(SPM). Ministry of Education ( MOE) will have certain guidelines for all the schools when we are ready to reopen. Senior minister of ( MOE) said “All safety and hygiene aspects as well as efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 infection must be prioritised.”
What will be the precautionary measures for schools in Malaysia? However, we do not have the exact date when is the Form 4 and 5 students going back to school yet. Let’s wait and see..
