The rule of “four per table” which the previous standard operating procedures (SOP) has been lifted by the government and there is no maximum number of people allowed to dine at the same table in restaurants and eateries, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
“As long as there is social distancing, it is possible. If a large table can fit 10 people, then 10 people will be allowed. The issue is social distancing, ” the Senior Minister (Security) said at a press conference on Covid-19 updates by today (June 17).
According to the statement, the government will no longer limiting maximum of 4 people to a big table in restaurants if there is enough social distancing between persons at every table.
“If there’s a big table that can fit 10 people, it doesn’t make sense for (only) two people to sit there. There are no restrictions on this, ” added Ismail.
