A Malaysian woman posted on facebook claimed herself to be a victim of domestic violence. The post went viral with 3.3k responses and 7.6k shares. The couple was said in the midst of filling for divorce, reported by China Press.

Dear all, i know I have been silent for quite some time and I would like to share this with everyone.
2 months ago I have been beaten up and mentally hurt by the one that I thought is my life partner.
On May 27th 2020 I came back home at 10pm to find that my husband is drunk and high on drugs, he started being aggressive and I have been abused. No women deserve to be beaten up by a man.
Should anyone go through this please speak up about it because it is not a joke or something that you should be ashamed of. Being abused is not something that you could just brush off but it is a lifelong trauma that I have to deal with.
He has harassed my family members and asked me back for my ring and phone that he bought for my birthday and said my family is a cheapskate when my family accepted him as our own. #metoo
In another post, she also ranted that her husband is making a RM22k a month but can’t even spared her Rm 2k for household. She also mentioned, her husband promised to take good care of her and wanted her to quit her job after they get married.
Most netizens sympathy with her situation and hope she will stay strong.
