VVIP’s granddaughter was detained by police on Aug 22, 1:20am in a pub in TTDI, KL.
According to source, the girl’s father is a politician too, and he used to be in high position in government body. Most netizens criticised her for drinking in a pub because she is a muslim.
Police Chief, Datuk Sri Mazlan Lazim confirming the incident but did not revealed the name of the girl, reported by Malaysia Gazette.
He added the raid took place at 1.20am after they received complaints from the public. The police arrested 20 men and 9 women who were at the premises that was operating beyond the time curfew set during the RMCO period.
“We also arrested a 37-year-old man believed to be the manager of the premises, a Bangladeshi man and three Filipino women suspected to be employees at the premises,” he said.
Mazlan added that further investigation revealed the premises was operating without a valid business licence and the case is currently being investigated under Section 55B of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for the offence of owning premises employing a foreigner and Regulation 39 (b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963.
In total, 29 individuals aged between 21 and 48 , including the granddaughter of VVIP were charged RM1,000 each, reported by China Press.
Mazlan went on to explain that his department does not practice double standards and does not occasionally compromise on any individual, including the child of a VIP who was found to have violated the RMCO.
