LATEST: Activities Will Be Tightened in These Selected Areas in Kedah!

The State Security Working Committee (JKKN) has made a decision that certain activities will be tighten in selected areas after a meeting with YAB Menteri Besar of Kedah on Aug 16 following the spike of Covid-19 cases in Kedah.

The following are the places that has been approved for closure or limited operation hours which will brought to action starting today, Aug 17.

The local authorities must close these following areas if positive Covid-19 cases occur in certain area or district which announced by Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

1.Market Closure

The local authority has the rights to close the operation of the Morning Market, Nut Market and Night Market.

2. Playgrounds and public parks Closure

Playgrounds and public parks are allowed to be closed by the local authority.

3. Business hours 8am to 8pm only

Business hours for all types of businesses is tightened from 8.00am to 8.00pm only at areas where there are positive Covid-19 cases, except petrol stations (convenience store at petrol stations should be open until 8.00pm only), 24-hour health clinics, wholesale markets and factories that has the approval from Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

4. No Dine in allowed in restaurants

All restaurants and eateries are only allowed for take-away, delivery and drive-thru. Dining-in is strictly forbidden in the selected areas where positive cases are identified!

YAB Menteri Besar also told the local authority to make an enforcement on this matter from time to time and monitor the use of MySejahtera application for every business premises.

The local authority is also requested to always remind the traders to comply with the SOPs approved by Malaysian National Security Council (MKN) and Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).  This latest operation will be brought to action starting 17th August 2020 until the district is announced as a GREEN zone by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and YAB Menteri Besar.
