Recently, there is a story being viral regarding of a family being fined for not wearing mask in their car. This has caused netizens to react in anger as the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) is not very clear.
It’s being reported that the police will cancel the fines for people not wearing a mask in their car. Minister of Defense Ismail Sabri Yaakob said in the press conference that after some discussion with the police, they will cancel the fine for that case. If the payment of the fine already made, people can get refund.

Not only that, but you also have to wear a mask while riding public transport such as bus, taxi, e-hailing vehicles, LRT and KTM
It is also explained that people are not mandatory to wear a mask in a personal vehicle and during physical activities. Children under 2 years old also are not mandatory to wear a mask for health concerns such as breathing difficulties.
