Tourism Malaysia with the cooperation of the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board (LPPM Workers Union) Employees Union collaborated with the Congress of the Union of Employees in the Public Service (CUEPACS) to launch special packages in conjunction with Cuti-Cuti Malaysia, for the civil servants. The launch of this package is a short term initiative to increase domestic tourism promotion efforts during the period of the Restoration Movement Control Order (PKPP) and was officiated by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, YB Dato ’Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri.
The package that is developed by Tourism Malaysia and agreed to the civil servants for every is being launched to appreciate their services and effort by giving great deals and the best discount, exclusively for the civil servants and their family. Other than that, the civil servants also are the people who are the least affected by the PKP and have the most disposable income compared to other people. The campaign can encourage more civil servants to travel within the country also helping to boost the country’s economy.

Buyers are also offered extra value including 5,000 KL city tour tickets by taking the free Hop On Hop Off bus, hotel accommodation as well as the entrance fee of tourism products offered at discounted prices ranging from 20 to 60 percent. The package booking period is until 30 September 2020 while the validity period of the visit is until 31 December 2020.
Civil servants are encouraged to take this opportunity to take advantage of the packages offered as there is individual income tax relief of up to RM1,000 for domestic tourism expenses until 31 December 2021 following the announcement of the GENERATOR stimulus package.
