Car Crashed Bank’s Door After Mum Leaves Kids in The Car With Engine Running

We know that it is dangerous to leave our car with running engine especially when our kids are in the car. This Facebook post was garnered over 2K likes and 173 shares when the page uploaded an incident about a car without driver crashing a bank’s door.

The incident begins when a 29-year-old woman’s car smashed into the glass door of the bank after the she left the engine running with her children inside the car.

The incident happened in Sipitang approximately 8.45 am on 21 October. She left her two children, which aged two and five years old in the car.

Sipitang District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent Champin Piuh, stated that the woman actually parked her Proton Saga car in front of the bank and queued at the ATM machine.

He added, “At that time two children, two-year-old male and five-year-old female were in the car.”

“When the woman was queuing up outside the ATM, suddenly the public screamed and found her abandoned car violated the bank’s main door involved and caused a broken door mirror,” he said.

However, thankfully the two children in the car and the public inside the bank did not suffer any injuries throughout the incident.

Further investigation found that it actually happened when the woman left her car while the car engine running and the gear was placed in the place of ‘drive’ position.

Case investigated according to Rule 10 Road Traffic Methods which failed to control vehicles while driving and caused accident,” he said.
