#Klustermenteri become Top Trending Topic in M’sia After Cases Spike and Minister Tests Positive

Following by confirmation from Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri that tested positive for Covid-19. Netizens worried about the spread of the virus among the country leaders, which make #klustermenteri the top trending topic in Malaysia today.

His message in Facebook read,” To all Malaysians, I am currently under treatment after being tested positive for Covid-19 by the Health Ministry.

Alhamadulillah, to this moment, my health is good.

I am urging all people who had attended events between Sept 24 and Oct 4 which I was present at, to please immediately undergo Covid-19 screening at the nearest health clinic.

I pray that Allah will heal and save Malaysians from Covid-19, Insyaallah.”

The number of positive cases spike where Oct 5 recorded more than 400 cases and the first confirmed case for a minister. #Klusterminister becoming the top trending topic for today, where some netizens accusing the ministers of their dereliction of duty that causing a spike.

According to Sin Chew, one netizen commented,” Looking at the current situation, our PM still stay calm, you better do something now or else you step down, because you don’t deserve a minister position.”

Another netizen said,” 432 cases! Do you know why? because some politicians or ministers care about their own power and benefits rather than the citizens’ welfare.”

Some also can be seen criticising Malaysian National Security Council (NSC) and Ministry of Health (MOH) did not mandate a 14-day quarantine for returnees from high risk area, which caused the spike”

Some netizen blaming the Defence Ministry for not taking action against politicians or campaign volunteers who did not follow (SOPs) in the Sabah election, but arrests those who patronising pubs or nightclubs, or for not socially distancing or wearing face masks.
