[Part 2] Landslide in Banjaran Hotspring Retreat: Victim’s Wife Reached Ipoh To Claim His Body

The bodies of deceased identified as Ooi Chee Wei, 39 and Lee Tze Juin, 32, who were killed when a landslide hit their villa at the Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat will be claimed by their families tomorrow.

After 10 hours of search operations, the authorities managed to retrieve the body of Ooi at 10.05am and Lee’s body 13 minutes later. The remains were found in the jacuzzi room of the victims’ villa, which was struck by the landslide at 1am, reported by NST.

According to the Oriental Daily, the wife of the Ooi already reached Ipoh to identify her husband’s body, while the family of the Lee is still on the way to Ipoh. The post-mortem examinations on the victims would only be conducted tomorrow at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB).

District police chief Assistant Commissioner A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz said the families will only be allowed to claim their bodies once the examinations were completed.

Reporter from NST also trying to visit the Lee’s home in kepong, KL but no one was at home during that time. and they managed to speak to her relative who stayed nearby but the relative declined to speak to the media and requested for privacy.

However, according to a exclusive report from China press, the media revealed a picture of Lee, a pretty girl with attractive facial features.

According to the initial investigation, both victims were from KL and were in Ipoh for work purposes. Ooi was said a staff in a oil & gas company.
