A video where a man was beat in the middle of the road with an iron rod went viral on social media yesterday.
According to Facebook page, Info Roadblock JPJ/Polis, the said incident happened in Jalan Tebrau, somewhere near Crystal Crown Hotel, Johor Bahru around 11.30pm last night ( Nov 27). A man can be seen beating another man with an long object believed to be an iron rod.
The suspect was believed to be Bangladeshi man beating a man to severe injury on his head, arm and leg using an iron rod.
The 39-year-old victim was then send to the Hospital Sultanah Aminah ( HSA) emergency ward for further treatments. According to The Sun Daily, the man was reported to be in stable condition.
The video was believed recorded by the passerby, someone can be heard asking the suspect to stop beating the victim. However, no one stepped up to stop the suspect because he was armed with a long iron steel.
However, the motive of the assault is not known yet. South Johor Bahru District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Padzli Mohd. Zain said, they received an emergency call reported the fight at 11.35 last night ( Nov 27).
” We will identify the suspect and carry out further investigation on this case,” he urged those with information on the Bangladeshi man, in his 30s, to contact the police station at 07-2182323.
