Honesty is more than not lying. It is truth speaking, truth telling and truth living. And we can say that this is what these two Malaysian men who work in Singapore as rubbish collectors live up to. Recently they went viral when one of them post on twitter the story of how they returned a lost iPad to its owner. That post has garnered over 3.7K retweets and 9K likes on twitter as this story touched people’s heart and shows that kindness has goes a long way.
This post was originally put up on Facebook by a Singaporean lady who was surprised to see her missing iPad is no longer missing as she received an email from the genuine rubbish collector who found her iPad despite she has lost it more than a year ago. Maybe that is why you should never lose hope!
The email sender also politely asked permission if he can use the iPad for his own good if the owner does not want it anymore.
However the owner still needed the iPad, so they decided to meet up so these two genuine guy can returned the iPad to its rightful owner.
A recent post by the Singaporean lady stated that these two guys are a degree holder who has good communication and writing skills too. They really have golden heart and brilliant mind!
Responding to netizens curiousness on why they choose to work as a rubbish collectors in Singapore despite having a tertiary education, this UKM graduate stated that he actually has planned to work with garbage management truck since his studies and luckily he got the job after his graduation.
Furthermore, he also has a plan on applying a job in waste management company in Malaysia as an executive however that position needs job experience. Hence that’s why he took the opportunity to gain experience and learn about the system and how to work in that industry starting from the bottom in Singapore.
