Being a nobody to a girlfriend who has almost everything is not easy. That is what this guy, Eugene Ng felt as he seeing his girlfriend struggle to get what she wants by her own and she successfully achieved her dreams while him feeling all helpless and useless.
However this guy is not a quitter. He took that as a challenge for him to build his life so that he can provide for her and can fulfill all his promises for her.
Recalled back on their struggle, there were times where they had to be very thrifty in their daily, eating 70 cent bread and roti canai 3 meals a day. To the point one time her girlfriend had to lie to her parents saying that she a had a decent meal at McDonald but instead they were only taking picture inside the restaurant then went back to mamak.
Admitting that he was not a supportive boyfriend back then but had huge ego, that his girlfriend has to only listened to him.
Her girlfriend hardworks finally pays off when she received a huge payout from her business. Seeing how she spend her money celebrating her own success, bought her dream car, earning 5 figures per month and even bought her own house all at the age of only 22, the reality struck him hard!
“Even worst, i started to feel intimidated by her success. I felt i was not suitable for her, she was so successful she should find someone who suits her. I basically felt emasculated by her success. My confident was broken by her success,” he said.
Being once a lazy boy useless boy, he reminds all the guy to never feel intimidated by their partner’ success. Instead they should take that as a challenge to work harder and be a better man.
To all the ladies, he reminds to not feel bad if you are more successful than your spouse.
“You deserve every single way of your success, dont ever let a man stop you from living your life or doing what you are suppose to do. Remember it is not a woman’s responsibility to make a man feel like a man,”
