Nintendo Fans Scream! Super Nintendo World is Planning to Open in Singapore

“Super Nintendo World” area at Universal Studios Japan is scheduled to open on Feb 4, 2021. But sadly, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, most fans overseas will miss the opening of the first Nintendo-themed park in the world.

But, the creator of Super Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto reassured fans that there are plans for Super Nintendo World to open in other countries as well. One of it is our neighbour country, Singapore! Hooray!

Resorts World Sentosa make an announcement on April 2019, the theme park have a massive expansion plan, investing in two non-casino facilities which will see two new attractions brought to Universal Studios Singapore (USS): Super Nintendo World and Minion Park. However, no details given on the date for opening now.

The cars do have steering wheels, and multiple vehicles can race alongside each other, but it sounds like the ride itself is on rails. It’s not guaranteed that you win the race — there’s an element of throwing power-ups from item boxes, and the experience will be different each time you ride.

The park’s restaurant is named Kinopio’s Café (Toad’s Café) and features a wide selection of Mushroom themed food, including a Mario Burger, Super Mushroom Pizza Bowl and various other meals on the menu.
