Since the COVID-19 cases have been increasing tremendously, our healthcare system has to make another place to be a quarantine place for increasing patients by using MAEPS, Serdang. However, we heard some people said that the condition there was very bad. This Twitter post by a patient at the MAEPS garnered over 19.6K retweets and 14.6K likes shared some insight into the place.
He shared that the place was not scary at all, clean and comfortable. He also added that some people hung white cloth over the bed because the lights open 24 hours.
As for the toilet, there are six toilets in the hall that has around four to six cubicles. The condition is very clean and comfortable but doesn’t expect it like a hotel one of course~
As for food, they get 3 meals a day. The taste is not bad and good too! It also being told that the food is served by the at the bed and people in there helped each other to distribute the food.
To clarify that if the patients all confirmed positive, he said that all of them are positive and asymptomatic also low risk. They also can’t get infected or infect each other. So, they can share the facilities without any problem.
The whole place also uses airconditioning 24 hours a day and it was very cold and comfortable.
For those who curious, the foreigners and the locals are divided into the different hall for easier registration, observation, and announcement.
The people and nurses are also relaxed and friendly. For the announcement, they talk as it is a camp! So fun~
When a new person is admitted, this door will open and the sound effect is solid. Like in a movie. I call this the door of Maze Runner. The cheers are to encourage newcomers so that people do not feel afraid. He added that this will be the most memorable thing in the MAEPS!
They also have a charging station. There have no cases of thief recorded but people still be careful.
