We all know right now, some people are having a hard time because of the flood. People are giving their prayers and trying to send a lot of help to all the victims. However, do you really know things we should do to help flood victims, or what do we know about the flood? Well, this post garnered over 13K retweets and 10K likes share things that people don’t know when floods happen!
Let’s see~
1. Food is not a big deal.
In fact, it is abundant until several months do not run out. All for food aid.
2. All toilets are not functional.
The toilet hole is filled with water. Cannot flush because the area around the flood evacuation center is also flooded. Pity parents, pregnant mothers, or those with small children. Imagine that situation. Torture & horror.
3.The animal breeders also lose a lot during this time.
There are hundreds of cows, goats, tens of thousands of chickens to be relocated. No cage to guard them. No food for them as all the grass sunken. Many animals drown.
4. Many trees die.
When water stagnates, many trees like fruits, flowers, vegetables will drown. My village doesn’t have any durian trees. It is the most spoiled tree because it is 100% confirmed dead when flooded. The most durable tree, the palm tree. After a month of swimming in the water, not a single one dies.
5. Many furniture are damaged & the door cannot be opened.
Why? Modern furniture is all made of wood powder. When submerged in water, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, dining tables, Ikea furniture will expand & be damaged. The wooden door made from Meranti also expanded. Everything has to be bought again.
