However, it is sad to share that the creator of Indomie, Nunuk Nuraini has passed away at the age of 59 years old on 27 January 2021. Nunuk graduated from Pajaran University in West Java. The department she studied during school was the Department of Food Processing Technology. After graduating, she joined the fast-cooking noodles department of Ying Duoxiang as the seasoning development manager. It takes 30 years to do so.
Indomie also has many flavors on the market such as the original Mi Goreng, Mi Goreng Rendang, Mi Goreng Cabe Ijo(Green Chili), Mi Goreng Aceh, Mi Goreng Rasa Ayam Goreng( Fried Chicken Flavour), and more. However, the most popular on the market are Indomie Goreng dan Ayam Barbeque.
Indofood itself is the largest instant noodle producer in the world, with 16 factories, 15 billion packets of Indomie are produced annually. Indomie is also exported to more than 60 countries around the world. To lose a big figure like her is very unfortunate. May she rest in peace.
