Almost everyone has Touch’n Go card and Touch’n Go eWallet apps on their phone. So, to give the best user experience, Touch’n Go has decided to make some huge improvement.
The firs major changes is that there will be no more parking surcharges starting on the first quarter this year as confirmed by the new chief executive officer, Effendy Shahul Hamid during an interview with The Star.
“I’m very happy to say that by the end of the first quarter, we’ll take away all parking surcharges. It requires innovation and some sacrifice on our side, but I think it’s the right thing to do.
Basically, we’ve been able to convince our parking operator partners and ensure the surcharge is removed by the end of the first quarter,” said the CEO.
The second major improvement is by the end of 2021, Touch’n Go will come out with a new card that can be reloaded directly using Touch’n Go eWallet on your phone. However this card is optional for customer to buy.
In that interview, he also get asked about the 50 cent fee for card top-ups. To answer that, he clarify that they don’t get any gain any surcharges when the cards are reloaded.
“The first thing to understand is Touch ‘n Go does not receive any of the reload surcharge when cards are reloaded. The surcharge has historically been levied by our reload agents to defray the specific cost of providing the reload service. And when you reload your card, we actually pay the agent that reloads the card for you,” he told to the media.
This new changes will surely be enjoyed by all Touch’n Go users!
