Be Careful, Maybank Users! There Is A Fake Website Identical With Maybank2U,Here’s How You Can Block It!

For those who use Maybank, please be aware! This one Facebook post shared that he was being scammed after accidentally log into a fake Maybank website. The post has garnered over 2K likes and 14K shares from the netizens!

The person shared that on Saturday, he wants to check his bank balance. So, he logged into Maybank using the laptop without realizing he clicked on a different link. The layout and every process was certainly identical, which was the reason he didn’t suspect anything. After login, he got an SMS with a TAC number which he without thinking much put the number on the laptop. That is when he realized something was wrong and when he checked back a large sum of money was transaction to Lazada.

He blocked the Maybank4u and his bank card and reported police. It was being said that it would be hard to investigate as this has a caused by a third party. He, later on, got a call that he might not be able to recover most of the money due that the money was used in paying for an online game. This person shared the link and advised people not to click it! “https://campaignmay2u.com/home/m2u/common/login.do”

It was advised many people be careful and check the link before clicking. Here are some way you could do to block any website that you want!

1. Google the words “block site extension.”

2. Click the “Block Site – Website Blocker for Chrome™ – Google Chrome” link, which will likely be the first or second hit.

3. Click the blue box at the top of the screen reading “ADD TO CHROME.”

 

4. In the popup box, hit “Add extension.” After that. setup a password and consider time-based “Work Mode” block settings by clicking on the orange shield icon on top right of your screen.

Here is how you block the site!

1. From within the BlockSite settings page, click “Block Sites” atop the menu on the left, then manually type in the websites to be blocked on the bar to the right. Go to the website you wish to block and click the red BlockSite shield, then hit “Block this site” in the popup window.
