“Can Buy An iPhone With This Fish”, This Rare Fish From Sarawak Is Priced About RM5.7K!

People these days tend to ‘flex’ on their social media. Either having the latest iPhone, expensive shoes, or even having fine dining, they would update it on their social media to make people awe by them. But what is the true way of flexing?

Well, this Twitter post garnered over 7K retweets and 12K likes after sharing a fish can be a great flex! Apparently, this fish has the same price as the latest iPhone price!

The fish priced RM500 for a kilogram and for a whole fish it is RM5,700! But why this fish is so pricey, you ask?

Well, this fish is pricy due to its rareness! The fish is known as Ikan Empurau or “wang bu liao” (忘不了) which means unforgettable in Chinese. But some do call it Ikan Kelah! This fish can be found in Sarawak and is very hard to find. This fish has a special diet which is fruits that fall from the tree like ‘Engkabang’ that makes it have a much more delicious taste.

This fish also estimated to be RM650 for ones that are less than 3kg. But, it could be higher. This fish only being enjoyed for a rare occasion and sometimes being given as a gift!
