The wait is over for all of us K-fans who have been wishing for Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin to be together again on the screen. The two superstar who is now the real-life couple dropped a new TV commercial for Smart Communications, a Telco in Philippines on Valentine’s Day (Feb 14).
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin confirmed their relationship status on Jan 1 and they joined the Telco as ambassadors since last year.
The commercial took inspiration from the plot of hit k-drama Crash Landing On You which stars the couple as lead characters North Korean Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok and South Korean heiress Yoon Se-ri.
The commercial looked futuristic where Hyun Bin can be seen driving a black sports car, looking slightly tense. As he got down from the car, Son Ye Jin can be heard saying “What do you do when what you desire is beyond reach.”
Hyun Bin holds up the phone screen which reads and all of a sudden, we see adorable pictures of the pair from Crash Landing On You.
In another voice-over, Hyun Bin continued, “You use power that breaks barriers.” Next, we see a digitalized Son ye Jin on the screen, looking worried. Hyun Bin chased after the digitalized Son Ye Jin until he caught up to her.
They smile at one another as Hyun Bin handed Son Ye Jin a flower and she transformed into a real person!
The commercial ended with Hyun Bin asking, “Do you believe this is possible?” to which Son Ye Jin replies, “I do”. The commercial ends with the couple smiling and giggling with one another. Awhhh.. Sweet!!!
