KPM Has Allowed Students To Wear Informal Clothes To School Starting March 1, 2021

Ministry of Education (KPM) has announce that face-to-face school session will commence starting on March 1, 2021.

As Senior Education Minister Senator Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin said this school opening will start with pre-school, Year 1 and 2 classes continued with Year 3 to Year 6 session that will start on March 8.

Meanwhile, secondary school students in Group A states will start school on April 4 while secondary school students in Group B states will attend school on April 5 which is after the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 examination.

The Group A involves schools in Kedah, Johor, Kelantan and Terengganu and students in Group B are from schools in Perlis, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Sabah, Sarawak, Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya.

However due to few delay because of MCO, some students seem to have outgrow their schools uniform and some parents too are struggling with financial issue to buy new schools uniform for their children.

Aware of this problems, KPM has publish a statement that allowing students who do not have schools uniform yet to wear any suitable wear as long as it is neat and appropriate. School students can wear their normal clothes from March 1 until March 26, 2021.
