This netizen from Thailand took Twitter to share what he found when he purchased the paper offerings for his ancestors.
He wrote,” Worship to the ancestor for coming to Chinese New Year. And found this one, haha. Everyone can get COVID-19! Even our ancestors in heaven. Hopefully, they get protected in heaven too!”
His post went viral garnered 45.1k responses with most netizens praised the merchant are so business savvy during the grim times.

According to local media, burning paper offerings is a tradition for Chinese New Year in Thailand to ensure that your ancestors are living comfortably in the afterlife.
Paper offerings that are popular these years including big bikes, 4G smartphones, luxury cars, bungalows, branded outfits or bags, massage chairs, and even Mahjong tables. Seriously, they have all sorts~~~
But this year, some merchants creatively sell face masks too. One of the merchants told the media, they stocked up 50 face masks. Surprisingly, it was all sold out just in a while. The merchant already re-stock the face mask to fulfill the market demand, they sell it at THB5 (RM 0.67) each.
