This Doctor Explain Why The Nurse Changed The Needle During The Vaccine Injection

Malaysia has received our vaccine since last week and our prime minister also has received Covid19 vaccine. But during the live session of prime minister receiving the vaccination, some netizens has notice that the colour of the syringe has changed during the process. This has cause some heated debate among netizens who believe there is some hidden agenda.

This somehow has triggered a doctor to share his explanation regarding that matter on his Twitter. His tweet has garnered over 18.5K retweets and 15.7K likes as his explanation has enlighten many more of us.

Along with that tweet he also tag a comparison picture showing that the first needle uses to extract the vaccine is blue in colour, but for the injection, it was changed into red.

According to him, the initial needle used to extract fluid will be thrown away once used, then a new needle is used as for sterility and hygiene purpose.

The needle used on the vaccine bottle is considered unhygienic as there is possibility that there is germ on it, so it is impossible to inject into the skin using the same needle.

Next, the needle size also has variations. Needle used to inject into skin is the smaller ones so it less painful, compare to the needle used to extract the fluid from the bottle as to ensure smoother intake and less pressure.
