She bought a refrigerator from Shopee. Yes! A real fridge i mean, 1 door with capacity 156L but she only received a stack of old newspaper!

A netizen, Khim took social media to share her horrible online shopping experience, where she bought a fridge. 3 days later, her dad acknowledge receiving the order, but she reached home to find out it’s only a stack of ” OLD NEWSPAPER”.

Her post read:

I placed an order for a refrigerator. The item reached me 3 days later. Yes, you are right, like what you see. I got a stack of newspaper.

I’m sharing this to raise awareness.

I’m new and still learning to do online shopping. So, please don’t criticise me!

However, Khim shared a screenshot with a message,” The store was deleted/blocked /freeze by Shopee” and added Shoppe already took action against the said online store.

▼ One teasing her and said, “Actually the seller didn’t lie to you, you can find the advertisement where to buy fridge with best deal. Quickly go check out before the deal is over.”

▼Another netizen also said,” Some seller will send empty parcel and use their own transportation instead.” But Khim replied, ” Too bad, i already cancelled the order and ask for refund.”

Actually you don’t need to worry as all the orders will be protected by e-commerce platform like Shopee and Lazada. In this case, Shopee Guarantee is a feature whereby Shopee holds payment temporarily to ensure the deal is successfully fulfilled before releasing the payment to the seller.
