Police Has Recorded Statement From Instafamous Couple For Inter-State Travel For Their Honeymoon

SOPs in Malaysia are loosen up like we can travel now but still limited to only inter district. To travel from one state to another is still not allowed unless for a valid reason.

We all been adhering to that as most of us understand the importance of doing so but some people just can’t really comprehend that very well. Recently, few photos of a instafamous has went viral on Twitter where this couple was sharing their honeymoon pictures while traveling interstate.

In her IG story, someone asked is it possible to use honeymoon as an excuse for interstate travel. To which, she replied that she has booked it since December.

“Yes, you can, I’ve booked since December. But if the police in your area is strict, then you just have to face it.”

She then added that “The police at my place asked, ‘You’ve been waiting for quite a long time, are you newlyweds? Okay, you can, it is private place, right? Or are you attending wedding? That is not allowed.’ ”

In the next screenshot, someone asked on what reason she applied for interstate travel. She then again saying that it is for her honeymoon purpose.

Responding to curious netizens on her IG, she clarified that, ” It depends on the officer on duty, if he’s not in a good mood, you still can’t get away it. But seriously everything is already back to normal, even the road is full now. As long as you follow all the SOPs.”

As this issue went viral, this couple are called to give statement at Wangsa Maju Police Office. In the recent news, according to Wangsa Maju police chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah no action was taken against the couple. In a press release by Wangsa Maju Polis Station, this couple had obtained approval to travel for business purposes.

Based on the recorded statement and document provided, this couple has proved that they stayed in a resort in Johor during their business affairs and has also submitted proves of business dealing a accommodation receipt. They also denied they were in Perhentian Island, Terengganu.
