Most kids in Generation Z and those born after 2010, the Alpha generation living in a comfortable environment, parents are trying their very best fulfilling their children need. Most of them living under a worry-free environment. Thus, some kids tend to be more demanding and always blame when things are not up their expectations.
One teacher was sharing a touching real-life story on Facebook that a Form 1 schoolgirl came from a not so well-off family, she don’t have a good learning environment but somehow she scored a good marks in academy results.

Sometimes i will request the parents to document the students’ learning during the online classes. This is what happen to one of my students, i admired her sensibility. She never gave up even she is in a single parent family.
When i did a home visit, i realised she don’t have her own space. She was sitting at a corner of her living room ( lesser than 500 sq. ft. home) , her learning environment was not as good as others, but she always hand up home works on time, moreover she did it very well! Her academy results was excellent.
What i wanted to share is if a kid with a heart to learn, they will always excelled no matter where they are or whether they are in a elite school. Your attitude determines your altitude!
It’s really different from some of the students, with a nice study room, nice table and chair, high-end computer, air-conditioned-room, loving parents. They owned all the wonderful things but they are not working hard..
How many nights she cried alone, feeling sad because she don’t have a loving parents like her peers, but still she never gave up on learning.

The student, Bernice said she is happy enough to have a smart phone for her online classes. She is used to it and that’s how she got a good result. “Some of my schoolmates study on the bed also can scored a good marks in the exam so it’s not about the resources we have but the attitude.” she said.
