Recently, a hacks has went viral when people started sharing how they improve their internet connection using just one items in the kitchen, the aluminium foil! A Facebook page has compile a few experiment done by Facebook user in a post that has amassed over 603 likes and 10K shares!
That post wrote as,
“Here, give it a try…Who knows you can get 6G. If it really working, let me know,”.
This post is about people using aluminium foil to have a better internet connection. The aluminium foil is placed around the the router to boost the Internet speed.
Netizens were sharing the picture on how they creatively did it. This Facebook user use an aluminium foil and shaped it into a wall around the router.
He also jokingly said that his wife was mad at him at first for using the aluminium foil but since this hacks really work and the internet speed is increasing, she’s happy now.
Another Facebook user also try this method and it worked for him too! He said when he first post about this, many were laughing at him but now many has able to get good internet speed using the same method.
Testing his internet speed using an apps, this guy shares that if before applying this tricks, his internet speed drops to 10mbps after 8 pm, but since he use the aluminium foil, his internet speed is now at 24mbps!
This hacks does not only applicable on routers only. This user is using the same tricks on phone tethering and it worked as well!

But is this scientifically proven? According to a study by Dartmouth University , as International Bussiness Times reported, wrapping a foil around the antennae of a router can make for reflectors, which can strengthen signal in one direction.
Not only that, this hacks will also make it difficult for hackers to hack into your router since it will confine the Wi-Fi signal to a limited area.
