How important is tertiary education? It develops your academic knowledge, prepares you for industry-related skills and even plays a big part in the transformation process of a teenager turning into an adult. The university experience remains an invaluable social learning curve as well as a pre-requisite to almost any job interview.

That is what most people thought, but not this netizen. As he thought, rather than spend time and money for university or college, why not joining the “industry” that can make more money?

The post read:

Is it still easy to get a job after graduating from university? Just throw a stone, you probably hitting dozen of Uni graduates. Why don’t we just choose something even better? Let me make a simple analysis with you:

University graduates:

  1. Monthly income around RM2500, some job maybe offer higher pay like RM 3500
  2. Owing PTPTN after graduated from university, it will probably take you 15~ 20 years to payback!

3)9am to 6pm job if you are lucky ( Most people need to work overtime until 8pm). Not included time for travelling, you are contributing most of the time to the company.

4)Seeing drama and office politics in the company everyday.

5)Going through the same routine for 35 years until you retired. End up you will realised you are  spending your entire life for the company.

Be a Insurance agent/ real estate agent/ e-merchant :
1)RM20,000 per month, some even can make up to RM50,000.

2)You don’t need to owe the government, even you are borrower of PTPTN, you will also be able to payback in 3 months time.

3)Time freedom, maybe you will need to work 2-3 hours a day, you can spend the rest of your time doing things you like or maybe more readings to improvise yourself.

4)No need to deal with difficult bosses. Most importantly, you need to have high EQ as it’s not easy to handle the client too.

5)You probably need to work around 10 years for financial freedom, of course also through some investment/ businesses with passive income.

I’m have been going through all these, and after working for some times only i realised, you won’t have a bright future working for others unless you are the elite. If you don’t like to start up a business then you have to work hard to climb the corporate ladder. It will be one of the way or else you better do a proper planning now. Or else you will find your few thousand salary is so pathetic.

Let’s check out the netizens’ comments:

▼” The concept of Million dollars is not a dream?”

▼” If everyone like you, you think you will still have client?”

▼” Haha, so good then ask the agent help you to do surgery, defend you in court and do the accounting for you.”

▼” So, if you are sick no need to see doctor, car break down no need to send to workshop?”

▼” Based on your IQ, those MLM company felt sorry to themselves if they don’t con you~”

▼ One netizen also commented,” Not all agents are lucky, and able to earn that much. And not everyone has such high EQ,”

▼” Real estate agent/insurance agent need to go to office every morning for meeting, dancing singing some motivational song, just think about it i felt so “geli” (disgusting).”

▼Some thought he should compared apple to apple, don’t compare the best agent with the lousiest University graduates.

▼” sorry, me graduated from university i’m getting RM20k pay. Spend 10 years for financial freedom. You are using the best in your industry, why am i need to use the worst in my industry to compare with you. A lot insurance agent/real-estate agent/e-merchant not doing well out there too, a stone also can hit a dozen”

▼ ” University is where you develops your academic knowledge, prepares you for industry-related skills. so you can decide your future path later.

▼” The second part you mentioned is the ideal scenario, what about when things doesn’t turn out to be good? who said on employment can’t be good? who said working for others cannot work on part time, cannot do investment? ”

▼” You are horrible only, me not an insurance agent, just an employee but at the age of 30 i have 6 figures savings and 3 properties.”

A degree may not promise a bright future, but degree holders have much better odds of getting, and perhaps keeping, a job.
