Since a lot of people asking, i ironed out all the information to share with everyone. Lately, our government subsidized on jaringan prihatin mainly to assist B40 group to work from home/ attending online classes.
Me as well, i applied with YES on May 6 and i get my free device on May 17 + Free 180GB data for a year.
I did a check on the smart phone, the price is around RM399. It’s pretty good for normal phone usage, calling or surfing internet. Of course, please do not compare with those expensive smart phone.
I tried on WeChat, Facebook, Video call, Youtube. My daughter also playing some games. It’s pretty good, not lagging and speed of downloading is acceptable.

All the service provider come with different plan. So, understand your need before applying them.
You may key in any IC number of your family members to check whether they are eligible for the programme. If you are eligible then only check out the packages available. But do not register first.
If you wanted to get a better smart phone then you will need to pay a little more. Some packages even need you to sign 1 year plan. But still it’s a lot more cheaper than the normal plan. Those paid smart phone including Vivo, Oppo and so on. ( But an individual only can apply for 1 plan from a Telco).
In comparison, YES priced it at RM300, other Telco might offered different pricing which equivalent to the mobile phone original price. Thus, please think carefully before you make a decision.
