The pandemic to date is more than a year. Most Malaysian who work in Singapore hardly meet their family back home. Even though border is now open, but just the cost and the quarantine period are enough to be overwhelming.
A Malaysian man, named TZ sharing a video in his Youtube channel regarding his own experience travelling from Singapore to Malaysia. One of the topic where most people concerned will be: How much it will cost you for a two-way trip?
▼ In the video, TZ firstly shared both quarantine policy from both countries : 7 days & 10 days. If you did a Covid test before your trip , when you landed in Malaysia then you will need to undergo 7 days quarantine.
He said first thing he did was a Covid test before heading back to Malaysia.

He also added, because it’s a trip heading home for Chinese new year. To make sure he was fully protected. He bought himself a PPE and wore it in his flight home.

He had been send to a designated hotel for quarantine once landed in Malaysia. TZ said ” The price will be the same for all the hotels, which is RM150 per day. Because i did my Covid test in Singapore so the quarantine period is 7 days.”
” During the quarantine period, i’m not sure about other hotels but mine was giving 1 bottle of 500ml mineral water every meal. So, I’m only getting 1.5l of water for a day. Therefore, i will need to buy water from the hotel.”

TZ mentioned services provided in hotel quarantine in both countries were different. In Singapore, the hotel will give you sufficient water supply. You can even told them you need a box of mineral water.

▼One also said he personally felt so much different to quarantine in Singapore & Malaysia.
▼ But some don’t agreed with that, one said he travelled with bus and felt quarantine in Malaysia is better. Another netizen said when she quarantine in Malaysia, water provided was 3L per day, you can asked for more if not enough. And one also saying he was quarantine in a hotel in KL , the room is big and come with a box of mineral waters & every meal come with a drink too.
▼ Due to the currency exchange rate, one said,” As a SGD earner, quarantine cost in Singapore is SGD3k & relatively quarantine cost is higher in Malaysia”, another netizen said,” Because your are earning SGD so you will think it’s cheaper in Malaysia. But for Malaysian who earned RM, it’s a hefty cost.
