A netizen took social media to share the journey he went through to start up his business. You probably will jaw-drop looking at how much he is earning at his age of 23. He is making a net income of RM40,000 in a month!

The post read :

I’m 23-year-old, graduated from UTAR Kampar last year. Last year March, when MCO started, i invested all the money (RM5000) from my part-time job into the share market for TOP Glove. I make around RM10,000 on July. Then i started my job in Kuala Lumpur.

I worked as a FullStack Developer in Start Up company. I was in the Dean list during my uni days. So, the company is paying me RM4,600.

Because it’s a Start Up company, therefore workloadwas heavy. Moreover, i will need to attend online course to improvise my Technical Skill and reading a lot of related materials. To be honest, it’s quite stressful. I realised no matter how high is your initial pay, as long as you are an employee, you are spending your time and effort to make your bosses even more successful.

Hence, i decided to quit my job after 3 months later. Start to focus on the e-commerce. The termination notice was a month. So i used the period of a month to set up FB page, Shopee and Lazada. I start to think about different strategies, like drop shipping and how to order goods from China to sell locally. Also study the market, looking for sources, forwarders, payment gateway, advertisement, Photoshop, Copy writing and so on. Finally on October when i done serving my notice, i started my journey to be an e-seller.

On November, i spend RM15K to buy medical grade gloves, Face shield, face mask and Oximeter to start selling online. After a month of selling, deducted all the costs, my net profit was around RM5,000. Although, it’s also a heavy work load compare to my previous job as i almost worked 14 hours a day, including weekend, But, to me it’s more practical and satisfying.

Aiming the right business opportunity, i invested all the money i earned into another Category. The 3rd month in operation also the first time in my life earning more than RM10K. I decided to get helping hands, one helping me in the operation, while another one be the customer service.

I don’t have a luxury car yet, still driving the Proton Saga from dad, no property, only a rented Studio to keep all the stock and me living there. Planning to get a Dual Key for staying and investment, trying my best to cut down the unnecessary spending. For now, after deducted pay for the staffs, rental, advertisement and some operational cost, i’m getting a net profit of RM40K (Lazada+Shopee+Carousell). The attached is the revenue for 30 days.

Sharing this post today, maybe some of you might thought me exaggerating or showing off. But that’s not the message i want to deliver. But, what i want to say is ” Crisis may be a turning point”. In grim times like these, if you were laid off by the company or not happy with your current job, why don’t sit back and think what to do or probably another way out.

You can be in financial crunch for a period of time but not all times. You must have certain requirements to your learning, work or life. It’s not necessary to have achievement after your hard work, but without hard work you will never achieve. Only keep improving, the ordinary you can live on an extraordinary life.
