Even it’s the same product, but we always have different price range. If you are in Malaysia, having our favourite nasi lemak. What is the price range that is acceptable for you?

A Malaysian influencer, Anna Chin is selling her homemade Nasi Lemak in her social media page. It was widely discussed by netizens after her promo post was out, as her nasi lemak is selling at RM28!

The post read:

Anyone tried this nasi lemak that costs RM28, please share and let us know is it worth it’s value?

Dear brother & sister, don’t criticised me. You are free to comment here. But nasi lemak selling at this price probably do have it’s reason. I just want to know anyone tried before, can share here? is it tasty? worth a try? Reason being, before i buy it. I was thinking to know more on others’ thought, because i’m afraid i can’t afford it.

Do not criticise me! If you are not happy with this post please just ignore it.

▼ Some netizen were clueless why is it selling at that price,” still someone buying when it’s selling at RM28, no wonder she drove a Lamborghini”

Anna’s post read:

Rushing on orders!

Packaging for our nasi lemak, and still a few more left.

Please PM me, can collect from my place or maybe i can send over if it’s nearby. I’m sorry if you are too far away.

Hurry before it’s gone!

▼ Some said this is a different level of Nasi lemak,” Normal portion.. like fine dining!”, ” Luxury! Those who buy is like a victim of fraud”

▼One netizen suggested: ” Ingredient RM8 + RM10 designing &plating + RM10 Compensation for sleeping late ”

▼ Some poking fun said : “Sending food with Lamborghini do have surcharge ok?” , ” Mine charging RM7 per portion. But i don’t have sports car to deliver food”, ” One said he only deserved to eat a very small portion of nasi lemak.”

▼ 我只配吃这样的 nasi lemak …

▼” My shop previously selling RM2.80 per pack.”

▼ One seller also advertised in the post:” PM me ! 1 portion of fried chicken drumstick green nasi lemak for RM12″, ” This for RM8″, ” I regretted selling my nasi lemak at RM 15″

▼ Some netizens also mentioned, the said influencer not only charging sky-high price for nasi lemak but for other items too. ” I found the similar earrings she sold in Taobao , Taobao selling at RM12 but she is selling at RM70++” ” She is selling the Korean products 10 for RM320 but you can get it for RM220-RM259 in the market”, ” she normally charging more than RM50++ higher than market price, but still someone buying”

▼” Some said her things very expensive but her fans said if you can’t afford then don’t buy”, another netizen also commented:” 2 type of people in this world, some satisfied with RM2 nasi lemak and some willing to pay more to enjoy the nasi lemak. No right or wrong, she is capable enough to sell it at RM28 and someone willing to pay for it.”

▼ Some thought there is no problem as it’s for the customer to define whether it’s worth the value. ” Starbucks coffee selling at RM10++ no one thought it’s a problem. Then why this nasi lemak got a problem?” , ” it’s not the seller’s problem because you are the one can’t afford it. It’s your problem”

▼ This is very personal and up to the consumer to decide whether it worth it’s value. “Like those branded bag, Chanel, LV and Hermes, although it’s pricey and still someone buying it.”,” Can see the seller’s effort, and the picture she took. It must be attractive to make someone spend.” , another netizen said,” it’s the finest! Not everyone can do. It’s like the luxury fine dining dessert and road side stall dessert, 2 different story. Everyone definition towards worth or not worth are different. So, nothing to judge! no right or wrong.”
