Malaysia’s healthcare system has been overwhelmed by months of increasing active Covid-19 cases, thus only patients with breathing difficulties are allowed to admit to the hospital. While, the rest will need to quarantine for 14 days. But does it mean you are not loaded with the virus or infectious after 14 days?
A Covid patient, Alice took social media to remind public to do another PCR test after 14 days quarantine as your body might still loaded with virus and it transmissible to others!

Everyone is saying after 14 days quarantine, you will be fine. No need to do PCR test anymore. You can resume your daily activities. Actually, this is VERY WRONG!
I’m one of the real life example. I was quarantined from 24/7/21 to 8/8/21 which is 15 days. I was so naive and thought i’m fine. No more virus & it’s not infectious anymore. But due to the work reason, i will need to do another PCR test to ensure the CT value is safe to go back to work.
The moment i got the release letter from KKM ( Ministry of Health), said i’m free to go work. In the same time, i also received a call from my doctor informing me that my CT value is still within 26-29, which means i will still able to infect others, i need to be quarantine.
Hence, those who are infected with COVID-19, please do not take it lightly! Please do another round of PCR to ensure you will not infecting others only resume your daily work and your daily activity. Now government cannot protect us, and we can rely on ourselves.
A gentle reminder to those infected COVID-19: If you are Covid positive, but didn’t go for PCR test, you will not know your CT value. My suggestion is to quarantine 10 or 14 days, please do a PCR test to know your infectious level.
Now i knew why my CT value was still 20++. As before this i was only tested via RTK and the RTK test in the clinic never came with CT value. Thus, the doctor said the CT value when i was infected should be around 10++ and after 14 days it went up to 20++.
If the CT value when you are infected is 20++ then after 14 days of quarantine, your CT value might go to 30-40. This is why after the quarantine you won’t be asked to test again assuming you won’t be infectious anymore.
But to safeguard your family and friends or to ease your mind. Please do a PCR test to find out the CT value. As those value are very crucial now, in order to break the chain for the deadly virus.
