Please take note, all road users must renew their licences by Sep 30 as there will be no more extensions to the grace period given.
According to the announcement from Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan ( JPJ) , vehicle owners with expired driving licence and road tax must renewed them before Sep 30! which includes Competent Driving Licences (CDL), Motor Vehicle Licences (LKM or road tax), Goods Driving Licence (GDL) and the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) license.
In a JPJ statement dated Aug 4, checks on compliance and enforcement by JPJ enforcers will start from Oct 1 onwards.
Other than that, POS Malaysia nationwide will resume services on driving licence and road tax renewal! Or you can drop by over-the-counter for the renewal but appointment needed before you heading to the outlet.
JPJ also urged vehicle owners to do renewals online via the MySikap JPJ or MyEG portal.
▼ The following is the guide to renew driving license via MyEG:
Step 1：Log on to myEG website, register for an account ( If you do not have one); Log in to MyEG account 【Click here】
Step 2：Click 「Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan」.
Step 3：Select「Driving License Renewal」.
Step 4：Click 「Proceed」.
Step 5：Select the number of years for renewal, key in your contact number, address and select the collection method.
Step 6：Filled in the applicant’s name, delivery address and click 「Proceed」.
※ Pay the renewal fees + Service tax ( Delivery charges vary subject to your area) You can get your driving license fastest at 2 working days.
Step 7：After confirming all the information filled, click「Proceed」and then click「Bersetuju」and proceed to payment.
