But recently, a doctor took social media to share a patient’s experience, as the patient do not need to undergo surgery after drinking COKE??

The Malaysian doctor took social media to share his 35-year-old patient, she ingested Enoki mushroom without proper chewing causing gastrointestinal obstruction. But, lastly she managed to dissolve the blockages by drinking Coke!

35-year-old Lady was in severe abdominal pain, even after the strongest painkillers (NSAID & Morphine). The painkiller only managed to relieve her pain for several hours and her pain resumed after that.

We did a scan and found her intestine badly obstructed. After further questioning, she told us she was having a Korean cuisine and ate quite a lot of Enoki mushroom. And the point is: She never chewed them and just swallowed it. So, the culprit is the Enoki mushroom~

Under this circumstances, normally I will advised my patient to go for an invasive surgery. But, i just asked her to buy Coke instead. Two days later, her bowel cleared and she is fully recovered.
