Most of the countries reopened their borders to allow quarantine-free travel and tourism after two years, as most of us are in the midst of transition treating COVID-19 as endemic. The reopening allows family and friends to meet again and letting a biggest fan of travel like me to travel again, exploring the world that we love so much!

So, are you ready for endless sunshine, beautiful beaches, dramatic deserts and ancient cultures? One of the most incredible destinations in my bucket list ~ Australia! From the iconic cities to the outback wilderness. I know you will be like me tempted to see all. But, if you need to refine your agenda, here’s our list of the most iconic places in Australia.

SYDNEY

One of the world’s beautiful cities. This is the Sydney you see on postcards, with the immense Harbour Bridge and shell-like fans of the Opera House skirting the emerald waters.

The best time to visit Sydney is between October and May when it’s almost always sunny and the beaches especially the most famous Bondi is irresistible. If you’ve never heard of the “Bondi bubble”, spend one day in this bustling, beautiful blue oceanside village and you’ll soon catch on. Even to locals, this slice of heaven is a real-life wonderland.

Don’t miss out the chances for a hands-on wildlife experience in Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney! Over 1,700 comprehensive collections of mammals, birds and reptiles. You can meet a Koala, feed the Kangaroos and Wallabies, admire the enormous Saltwater Crocodile ” Ngukurr” and loads more!

Do you love oysters too? Then, this gourmet tour is what you shouldn’t miss. You will be on a guided tour to visit the oyster farm, meeting the oyster farmer. Most importantly, learn to open the oysters and enjoy your simple, sexy summer treat!

HUNTER VALLEY

Hunter Valley- the birthplace of Australian wines, is renowned worldwide as a leading gourmet getaway. Hop between cellar doors (there are 150 to choose from) and be sure to try their acclaimed Shiraz and Semillon varieties. Don’t forget to get in with the age-old tradition of grape stomping like the winemakers have been doing it for centuries. Jump right into big oak barrels of grapes and stomp away!

Watching sunrise breaks over Hunter Valley’s horizon is a beautiful sight, what if you can witness it from a hot air balloon?!  As the sun rises you will ascend into the sky in your colourful balloon. Your balloon will float gently along the breeze. Add champagne and a gourmet breakfast to the occasion and you will get a great start to the day!

PORT STEPHENS

You won’t get bored when you are in Port Stephens as it has a list of attractions- from soaring sand dunes to unique wildlife. Other than that, it’s a famous surfing paradise, you can also explore the aquatic playground to board on a Dolphin watching Cruise for the cutest wild bottlenose dolphins, get up close with these intelligent and beautiful creatures.

GOLD COAST

Beyond the Gold Coast’s glittering high-rises you will discover waterfalls, wineries, craft breweries and beachside cafés, as well as theme parks for the whole family to enjoy (or just to take you back to your childhood).

TANGALOOMA ISLAND

Tangalooma is indeed the jewel of Moreton Bay and islands. With so many experiences to try, you can start with a desert safari tour as your vehicle glide through the vegetation to an open sandy desert. You can also attempt sand tobogganing down the high slopes, this is a crowd favourite.

No rush! There will still be time to indulge in other activities, cool down and go for a swim before the highlight of the day; wild dolphins feeding after sunset. After witnessing from the jetty, the dolphins swimming in, get on the water and hand feed one of them directly!

Enjoy an ATV Quad Bike on the beach in Tangalooma and up the hills behind the resort. From there, the view is fabulous including the ship-wrecks.

THE PINNACLES, NAMBUNG NATIONAL PARK 

The Pinnacles, where thousands of huge limestone pillars rise out of yellow sand dunessit in Nambung National Park. Visit The Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre, which lies in low heath at the edge of the Pinnacles Desert to discover more about the geology of the pinnacles formations and the cultural and natural heritage values of the areas.

Board a scenic plane from Geraldton to Kalbarri via flying over the dreamy pink colour Hutt Lagoon (due to seasonal changes, the colour of the lake differs at different times of the year), famous known as Pink Lake. Marvel at the difference between its pink waters and the nearby royal blue ocean from on a flight, and see the world’s largest micro-algae farm on the lake.

Afterwards, visit one of Western Australia’s most iconic natural attractions, Nature’s Window which natural rock arch frames the river perfectly at Kalbarri National Park.

Caversham Wildlife Park, where Australia’s unique native animals awaits you, including koalas, wallabies, possums, Tasmanian devils and wombats. Go ahead and hand feed the kangaroos, have a photo taken with the koalas and learn more about wildlife in Australia.

Explore the port by driving pass Roundhouse, Fisherman Boat harbor, and Cappuccino Strip.
