The recent price hike burdening the public, it’s affecting costs for everything including foods, sundries and transportation. What about the RMT( Rancangan Makanan Tambahan)?According to some netizen the food portion is “unrealistically small”!!
The RMT, or the Supplementary Feeding Programme, is an integrated effort led by the Ministry of Education (MOE) carried out in primary schools. According to the RMT guidebook by the MOE (n.d.a), the general goal is to supplement food provided at home to meet a fourth to a third of primary school children’s daily meal requirements.
According to Sin Chew Daily, Senior News Editor of Awani, Izwar shared in Twitter with an attached photo showing RMT menu for primary students in one of the national school in Pahang dated July 6, 2022. It’s a lunch box with pathetic portion of fried noodle.
He doubt what is going on with the pathetic portion, will it be due to the price hike?! He also tagging Education minister and Ministry of Education ( MOE) in his tweet. Hoping the authority to look into the matter.
▼ As what we can see in the photo, it’s a lunch box with 4 compartments and only 1 was filled with a tiny portion of fried noodle. You hardly find any other ingredients other and noodle and countable green leafy vegetable! Looks really pathetic!
It is also written in Izwar’s tweet：「This happened in one of the national school in Pahang. It’s a school near to a railway station ( If you know then you know, if you don’t know you can also pretend you know).」
According to him the canteen operator been warned but it seems like nothing change.
