I believe a lot of you will be like me keen to experience to be a concert crew. But, you are not sure how to apply, what’s the job scope.. and so on. A netizen in XiaoHongShu sharing her experience after twice worked as a concert crew and answering some most wanted questions!

I have been asked the same question over and over again about how to be Concert crew?
After my last post of【MY First experience to be a Concert Crew 】, i received a lot of PM as well as comments on questions about the job as concert crew. Sorry that i can’t reverted one by one. Thus, after twice been a concert crew, i wanted to conclude some of my experience and answered some of your questions.
Q1：Where to get this job？
A1：I applied it from Troopers app. You can also download the app from Google Play or App Store. The referral code i used is : TROOPERS-99062E . After the first job you will received additional RM5 in your account.

Q2：Why i couldn’t find job like Concert / Event crew after i downloaded Troopers？
A2： The concert / event crew job opportunity is lesser. So, i will suggests you to frequently search for job with key word “event crew”, “concert crew”, “usher” . In the case, you manage to find any job you keen you can apply for it.
Q3：Is meals and transportation claimable?
A3：Transportation and parking are not claimable. Parking charges in Bukit Jalil is about RM20-30. Normally 1 meal is included.
Q4：Meal-time？
A4：2 Meal-time but the crew stationed in the same location will need to take turn to have their meal. Timing wise will be around half an hour.
Q5：Normally when is the job opening?
A5：Not so sure. But for the first concert i went, the organiser started to look for crew about 2 weeks prior the concert while the second concert i went, about 4 days prior the concert.
Q6：Job scope？
A6：Supervisor will distribute the job on the spot, as well as brief the job scope. Therefore, you do not need to worry about it. But the job is mainly checking the entrance tickets, make sure the guests at the right zone and gate, usher the guests to their seat, control the crowd and so on.
Q7： Without experience of a concert crew can apply for the job too?
A7：Yes, you still stand a chance. Quite a lot of people like me without experience but been chosen as a crew.
** You can filled in your profile in the case you been an event crew or worked part-time or full-time job before.
▼ Q: Any pay given as the event crew?
A: Yes. Of course! It will be written in the troopers app.
▼ Q: Can i know more on the working hours?
A: No fix-timing. The first time i went was 4pm -1am. Then this round will be 12pm -9pm. Very much depends on the timing of the concert.
▼ Q: Candidate must know how to speak english?
A: Yes! The requirement normally will be 5 stars for English . 3 Stars for Chinese and B.Malaysia. But most importantly, you can communicate in English.
▼ Q: The process of the interview?
A: Not really a complicated process. They don’t do call interview. They will just shortlisted some candidates. If it’s ok then will accept your application.
▼ Q: I had been rejected by troopers, reason being : I can’t fulfilled their requirement. I’m sad maybe i do not have ratings in Troopers.
A: Just keep trying. Or i will suggest you to work some part time to accumulate some experience. It will helps somehow.
