An influencer in USA, Sarah spend USD 20 (RM 92) to get a hamster as her pet, but when she bring her pet to the vet it cost her USD1,192 (RM 5,198). She was dumbfounded and said: ” He better live up to 10 years!”
Her TikTok video went viral garnered 740,000 views and 28,000 likes. Her hamster, named Chele was brought to the animal hospital due to some sickness.
According to Insider, the influencer who lived in Texas shared a video on TikTok where she zooms in on an itemized procedure consent form, listing the services needed to treat Chele.
The most expensive procedures are “ER Complete XRay Study w/ STAT Review” — USD 587.43( RM2,702), “Emergency Exam” –USD184 (RM846), and “Contingency Treatment & Diagnostics” –USD150 (RM 690).
The form shows that the X-ray would be reviewed by a specialist. However, It’s unclear that if Chele was treated in the video.
