In 2014, Tesla debuted the first Autopilot system, an AI-based driver-assistance program built into the car’s software. The system is designed to be able to conduct short and long distance trips with no action required by the person in the driver’s seat.
Using advanced cameras, censors and computing power. Tesla will be able to navigate tighter and more complex roads.
Navigate on Autopilot suggests lane changes to optimize your route, and makes adjustments so you don’t get stuck behind slow cars or trucks. When active, Navigate on Autopilot will also automatically steer your vehicle toward highway interchanges and exits based on your destination.
However, a Japanese youtuber took social media to share a video of Tesla owner who lives in Thailand driving on the road. The system showed a lot of people crossing the road. But when he looked up.. he LOL!
Japanese youtuber, “MOTO中尉 Thailand Japanese Biker” shared a video on his personal platform “X”. He was a co-pilot for a friend who drove a Tesla and residing in Thailand. He noticed autopilot system detected people crossing the road.
And the number of people walking on the road was increasing. He then focus on the scene in front of the car and noticed a Songthaew ( passenger vehicle adapted from a pick-up or a larger truck and used as a share taxi or bus) with full of passengers.

From the video, it can be seen the Songthaew was with overloaded passengers. Most of the passengers standing on the vehicle causing the autopilot detected people walking on the road.
The youtuber sighed and said: To have Autopilot working efficiently in Thailand is impossible!
