A female police officer who returned from Sabah was ordered to do home quarantine. But, she neglecting the order and went grocery shopping in a hypermarket. Few days later, she was tested positive for Covid-19.
This Malay female officer, 26-year-old, was under police station in Puchong Utama, Selangor. She visited a hypermarket here on Sep 28.
According to China Press, she was in Semporna, Sabah for a vacation since Sep 9 and landed in KLIA on Sep 26, 11:30pm. She was on duty the next day from 2am to 8am in Subang Jaya detention centre. Afternoon 2pm to 4pm, she reported herself in Bukit Puchong Police station.
When Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that all returnees from Sabah is mandatory to do home quarantine. She went to back to police quarters to do her home quarantine.
However, she violated the home quarantine order and went to do grocery shopping in one of the hypermarket in Puchong Utama on the next day. Despite of feeling unwell with symptoms like headache and body ache.
The police officer went to Sunway medical centre for a Covid-19 test yesterday. Unfortunately, she was tested positive. She was admitted to hospital early today and MOH is currently tracing her close contact.
Her whereabouts went viral in social media and most netizens criticised her for the irresponsible act, some said as a police officer she shouldn’t violated home quarantine order.
People, we are seeing a surge in Covid-19 cases these few days and the best course of action to flatten the curve is to “stay at home”. Returnees from Sabah, please do your home quarantine while the rest of people, please strictly adhere to the given SOP. #kitajagakita #BeatCovid-19
