“Pity My Father Learns How To Create Zoom Class, But No One Turn Up” Says the Teacher’s Daughter

Looking at the upset father where no one attended his zoom class, the daughter log in the father’s zoom class to encourage him.

Schools are forced to close due to the surge of Covid-19 cases. Thus, the teachers have to equip themselves with knowledge how to conduct online classes. This netizen, Nuha took it to Twitter to share her feeling looking at her father, a secondary school teacher that conducted a class in zoom or google meet but no one attending.

She wrote,” Look at this, it’s only dad in the zoom class, his class started at 8.30am but now already 9 something but no one log in ”

Following that, she also said the father have to call his students one by one, some don’t picked up the call and some even switch off the phone, probably know his dad will call them.

According to Sin Chew, she said her father don’t know how to use zoom to conduct a class. But anyhow, he took the initiative by asking the children and learnt how to operate Zoom and google class.

A timing was set on Nov 25, 8.30am for his first ever online class, he was excited. Knowing at least these grim times, he can do something for his Form 5 students. He was busy preparing all the teaching materials in powerpoint format prior to his class.

Waking up early in the morning, getting himself ready in front his laptop. Finally it’s 8.30am, no one log in yet, the teacher thought they probably just late or forget about the time. Around 9am, He started to call his students one by one, some didn’t pick up the call, some even got  their phone switched off.

After about an hour waiting online, still no one log in the Zoom class. She do not want to see the father upset and log in to his zoom class and she was relieved finally seeing his father put on a smile on his face.

▼A netizen thanked his father for going extra mileage for the younger generation. A netizen also felt sad for his dad, thought the kids don’t appreciate his father’s effort. Some thought probably their SPM postponed to next year, so they took it lightly.

▼ One netizen also explained to her cousin who is one of the student didn’t turn up because their kampung got electricity cut off so, and struggling looking for internet connection and apologised to the teacher.
