Whenever we go to places, we need to scan and also fill forms with honesty. Because your honesty can change the future. This post shared by a doctor garnered over 10K likes and 8K shares after it talks about how patient honesty can affect other people around them.
The story started with a patient come to the hospital and already be filtered at the door before going for a CT scan. The temperature is normal and the patient said that they are healthy and was given permission to enter. The doctor was the one who has to prepare the patient to do the scan.
But when she checked the patient’s lung, it looks like the lung of COVI-19’s patient. So she confronted the patient. Then, they confessed that they had fever and cough for a week but feel a bit better to come for the appointment. The doctor said that their action caused a major problem for others. The patient pronounced positive for COVI-19 after 2 days.
At first, the doctor was categorized as low risk as she wears mas ka and takes extra precautions. She also clarified that PPE is used by doctors who work with high-risk patients as they are lacking of stocks. She needed no quarantine or swab test at that point but her heart feels heavy for some reason. So she went to work 2 days before the quarantine. After getting her swab test result, she cried. It’s because she has to be apart from her husband and children, worried that her family member’s also contracted from her and frustrated with the patient’s attitude.
She warned all that no one should lie if they have any symptoms as their action will cause harm to people not only that family but others as well.
