Recently, a mother was caught by security at a hypermarket after trying to household items including medicine for her sick child. The people who caught her lodged a report. The report then caught the attention of the Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal.
To help her, they went to the hypermarket and bought things that she needed. They even brought a care package by Welfare Department for her family.
They spoke and she shared that her husband works as an elevator maintenance technician and they are struggling to make ends meet as he currently have no work.Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal. said they decided to classify the case as “no further action” and advised her to never resort to crime again.
He also advised the woman that she can get assistance from soup kitchens, non-governmental organisations, and the Welfare Department as well as zakat aid. He also added that if she ever faced such issues and needed help, she could also go to his police station anytime.
He also left a message for the public to take care of each other during the Movement Control Order (PKP) season. He said that during this PKP, many are affected, regardless of frontliners, the public from all levels, all are affected. He asked for everyone to sacrifice and help where we can.
