Not long ago a Doctor was posting on social media that she was dumbfounded with the child’s Lung X-Ray and shared children’s admission due to COVID-19 on the rise! She urged parents to think twice before bringing their kids out “Because You Are Vaccinated But Not Your Kids!”

Yesterday, another post from a medical frontliner went viral. She was sharing what she has been seeing during her duty. She is worried as she is seeing something like a post-COVID conditions which also be known as long COVID, a Covid-19 complication in children.
Her post read:
I was talking to my friend this morning regarding the unusual cases I got during my oncalls, and I think some of you might need to hear it too.
Here It goes…
Within ONE week I’ve seen 2 children with “Covid complication” (I suppose).
First case was a 2 year old child. Her whole family was positive a month ago, came into our ward at night because she suddenly couldn’t walk. According to her mother, she started walking “like an old man” 3 weeks after they completed their quarantine and within 3 days she lost ALL her ability to walk or even stand.
Every time when her mother tried to hold her into standing position, she will cry (in pain?) and then crash onto the floor like a puppet got it’s strings cut. Our on call specialist called every possible more experienced specialities under the sun but because Covid is so new, no one can give us a definite answer… We just have to observe, treat and see how it goes along the way. Couldn’t sleep the whole night…
Second case is even scarier. 1 week after completed Covid quarantine, the 4 year old child suddenly had seizure (sawan). And it’s not just ANY seizure, the episode lasted 40 minutes! Imagine 40 minutes seeing a child right in front of your eyes: up rolled eyes, face blue, saliva flowing, whole body stiff, whole body shaking like she had been possessed by demon…
And the mother can only cry and watch while sending her to hospital. Imagine that mental trauma!
Luckily the shaking stop after the doctors gave medication into her vein. But on day 3 in the ward, her mother came to me at the nurse station and she said this to me ” Dr come see, the way my child is walking looks weird…” oh no… Not again…. Poor babies…
Both the children are initially healthy, normal kids before Covid, imagine what Covid can do to your child if anyone in the family spread the disease to them.The complication of Covid-19 in children is not fully understood yet, so anything can happen. Literally ANYTHING! So please, take good care of them. Stop bringing babies to shopping malls, stop bringing kids to picnic gatherings at the park, stop bringing kids to dine in… One wrong move might cause lifetime regrets. 🙏🏻 Please..

▼ Some mothers been blamed for over protective the children. But the doctor kind of agreed with what she said “It’s not safe yet”, for now only ” god know how Covid virus will actually affect on kids?!” she added.
