I have a few friends PM me, asking how much i spend for this trip. Therefore, i wanted to share the itinerary of my trip to Switzerland :
KL – Singapore ( Airasia 1 hour)
Direct flight from Singapore to Zurich ( Singapore airlines 14 hours)
11 days 8 nights, from Sep 21 to Oct 1 Train ride ( Glacier Express) tour around Switzerland.
Season：Autumn
Zurich’s weather is 8°C, you can still wear an inner clothings and a jacket. But, probably it will be snowing in Jungfrau, so you will need to prepare some thermal clothings and puffer jacket as temperature will be -4°C. Don’t thought you don’t need to bring thick jacket when it’s autumn~
But i’m lucky, as i never experienced snow. And it was snowing when i’m in Jungfrau. I’m a happy kid!
But, i personally think the scenery in Matterhorn is nicer than Jungfrau. Maybe because when i went to Jungfrau it’s snowing, visibility is low but it’s not snowing in Matterhorn, so scenery is good. Hardly capture this kind of photography effect !
After we touched down in Zurich, we started our train ride journey:
Lucerne – Mount Rigi – Intelaken – Grindelwald – Top of Europe – Montreux – Zermatt – Gornergrat – St.Mortiz – Chur – St.Gallen – Zurich – Singapore – Kuala Lumpur ( The end)
I went with a Singapore travel agency, so the tour package costs SGD 5,226 ( Around RM17,290)
The package includes: Breakfast for 8 days, 1x lunch, 3 x dinner, 8 nights of hotel stay ( 3 or 4 stars hotel), flight from Singapore to Zurich, Swiss Train Pass ( unlimited rides on trains, panorama trains, boats, and buses).
My cash in hand：CHF 1000（Around RM4,690）. Exchange rate : 4.722
Not including : Going to Top of Europe ( Jungfrau) you have to top up additional CHF225+ ( Around RM1,050), 1x lunch and airticket KL-SG, lunch
Basically, 4 of us having a meal for around CHF120-130 ( Around RM935-RM1,400). While for souvenirs i bought a bag chocolates and Cuckoo Clock. On the last day, i’m left with CHF400 ( around RM1,875) to come back to Malaysia for dinner.
As a conclusion, i’m 80% satisfied with this trip and 20% of dissatisfaction.
Actually, i think a few places are quite boring maybe can skip those location. But luckily i manage to go some places in my bucket list like Lauterbrunnen，Lungern，Brienz and First mountain. Some small little town are beautiful too, but unfortunately we just pass by but never stop.
Benefit going with the tour agency : You can enjoy the trip with peace of mind, you don’t need to carry the luggage up and down.
Disadvantages: You might not be able to go to the places you want.
But, i will still go again. Now what i need to do is go back to the homeland to make more money! Work hard !

▼ Q: What is your suggestion for places that not worth to go? like those you said boring.
A: Places like St.gallen chur st.mortiz but if you travel in the train ( Glacier express) then hardly avoid.

Total spend : RM17114.5 + RM4722= RM21836.5/11 days = RM1985.13
So in average RM2k/day , reasonable!
