The Petaling District Health Department conducted Covid-19 tests for 760 Block B residents at Pelangi Damansara Flats at Persiaran Surian and 23 people tested positive for the virus.
According to The Star, Residents in Block B have completed the test. Residents from the other blocks will also go through the test. It is crucial to screen all those living at the high-rise area as 23 Covid-19 positive cases had been detected
Following that, the authorities will continue to conduct the test for residents in other blocks and results of the test will take 4 to 5 days.
Medical officers advised residents to follow the strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) to stem out the disease.
Meanwhile, Petaling Jaya district police chief Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said policemen have been based at the Pelangi Damansara Flats to facilitate the Covid-19 tests, reported by Sinar Harian.
“Policemen will ensure that the people abide by the Covid-19 SOPs which require physical distancing. We need to get people to comply,” he added.
